Italy
Pirotecnica Scarpato
The genius of this family is devoted to fireworks in the sixth generation
now. It all began 1784 at the court of the king of Caserta. In his wonderfully
landscaped garden they ignited the first "illuminating wheels",
"sparkeling volcanos", "Roman Candles" or "Golden
Stars" - which all became the core of the fireworks of the baroque kings.
Even today these effects have not lost any of their magic power, especically
when combined with modern pyro effects and firing techniques. In the 1930s
Antionio Scarpato started a production in Germany and later returned to Naples.
Today his sons Mario, Vincenzo and Giuseppe continue the family tradition
in Rimini and have a reputation for being outstandingly innovative. 70% of
the company's production is sold outside of Italy - to whereever customers
insist on top quality fireworks. No wonder that Scarpato has won many international
prices for their impressive fireworks.
